# The Bent One

> A free bilingual picture book, in English and Spanish, about a short red line with a bend, and the shapes a line can take depending on where it stands and who it is with. Spanish title: La Doblada.

Antonio Rodriguez Martinez wrote, designed, and built this book. It is published by Strong Hands, Soft Heart LLC.

The book is a single-page web app with animated spreads. Readers turn the pages in a browser and can switch between English and Spanish at any time. The story text appears only after JavaScript runs, so a plain HTML fetch of the site returns an empty page. The README in the repository describes the book in markdown.

The story text and the artwork are licensed CC BY-NC 4.0: you may share and adapt them for non-commercial use, with credit to Antonio Rodriguez Martinez and a link to the book. The reader app's source code is MIT licensed.
